Course_Introduction
Electrical engineering is a  field of engineering that deals with the science and technology of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. It involves to design, construct, and maintain products, services, and information systems. It is the historical name for what is presently known as electrical, electronics, and computer engineering. Electrical engineering may include electronic engineering. The difference that lies between both is that electrical engineering is considered to deal with the problems associated with large-scale electrical systems such as power transmission and motor control, whereas electronic engineering deals with the study of small-scale electronic systems including computers and integrated circuits. Alternatively, electrical engineers are usually concerned with using electricity to transmit energy, while electronic engineers are concerned with using electricity to transmit information.
It is also the design and development of electrical systems and products. Depending on the flow of electrical power or charge, these products range from power plants to specialized robotics to household appliances. Like other types of engineering, electrical engineering combines creative initiative, invention, practicality, and technology to turn ideas into the tangible. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications.processes.
Job_opprtunity
Electrical  engineers are concerned with the production and use of electricity. They work as Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Engineering Specialist,Chief Engineer,Quality Control Engineer, Software Engineer, Development Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Research Engineer,Systems Design Engineer, Field Engineer,Test Engineer and Sales Engineer. These positions require knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and methods and knowledge of related fields such as structural and mechanical engineering.
An electrical engineer is the one who designs, develops, and supervises the production of equipment, processes, systems, and subsystems that rely on electricity to work.Their work includes directing, reviewing, coordinating, and approving electrical engineering activities. They works with items like circuits, transformers, wiring, and electrical parts to meet project specifications and project deadlines.                  Electrical engineers conduct field surveys to investigate existing equipment layouts and conditions, analyze system needs, make calculations, and determine requirements. They prepare designs and layouts of electrical and mechanical systems with regard to size, space, capacities, and economy and provide technical specifications for electrical portions of construction, maintenance or repair projects which are to be accomplished by contract.

Civil Engineering, one of the oldest  engineering discipline after military engineering deals with designing, supervision and construction activities of public and pvt. works  and offers a multitude of challenging career opportunities.  Architecture is a highly competitive and multi-disciplinary profession which involves a variety of tasks at work. This is a field which covers various fields including spatial design, aesthetics, safety management, material management etc. Civil Engineering is the application of physical and scientific principles. It involves planning, designing and executing structural works.  Civil engineering deals with designing, supervision and construction activities of public works like roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, water works, sewage systems, ports etc. and also offers a multitude of challenging career opportunities in Pvt. domain as well.   Environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering, surveying, urban planning and many more are some of subdisciplines of civil engineering.
Job_opprtunity
A civil engineer can work as Structural engineer, waste treatment engineer, transportation engineer, Geotechnical engineer, water management engineer, construction Engineer, coastal engineer, municipal or urban engineer.  Civil Engineer supervise the construction of  projects to ensure that they are built according to carefully drafted plans. Structural engineers are experts in building structures safely and efficiently. They work with architects to design large buildings, bridges, and tunnels. Construction engineers supervise the actual construction of projects once they are designed. They decide on the best materials and methods to use in building such structures as skyscrapers. Civil engineers who work in hydraulics design canals, flood-control systems, and irrigation systems study water sources and try to develop ways of using water that will benefit the community. Sanitary engineers design systems to purify water and treat wastes to provide a safe and economical supply of water.

Architectural Engineeers are in good demand as the urbanization is taking place. They are specialized in one of a number of areas such as housing, hospital or educational facilities.  After the completion of the B.Arch. degree, the budding architect has to register himself with the Council of Architecture (COA), which is mandatory if he wants to carry the profession of architecture independently,  want to take a Govt. job or want to take up teaching job. As Architectural Engineer, they work to ensure that design and engineering mesh to create efficient buildings. They may be employed as generalists, focusing on the building as a whole, or they may specialize in a discipline such as energy efficiency, fire protection or plumbing. Architectural Engineers usually work in teams with construction engineers and architects. A student of architectural engineering can specialize in the structural, electrical, mechanical or construction aspects of building design.
